Finally somebody informed me about it….My cousin has fooled me big time. Sivaji will not be released for Tamil New Year but on the 17th of May. I can’t wait that long to watch the film. GgggGrrRr. Whatever it be, my ticket is reserved. Yeah. Thank God I have a cousin brother who is the friend of the GM of GV. SmileZZZZzzz.

My cousin knows that I’m a crazy Rajinikanth fan [He is twice as crazy as me.], so all the while he had been telling me that Sivaji will be released for Tamil New Year. Some of my Indian friends told me some time ago that Sivaji will not be released for Tamil New Year, but believing an avid fan of Rajinikanth; which is my cousin brother; I totally trusted him and was counting the days to April 14.

Theeba…you are the apple of my eye. Once I read your message, I didn’t even waste a single second but called the GM myself and confirmed the release date of Sivaji. Now I’ve to wait another one more month for the film…sob…sob.

April 14. That’s the day the entire Indian[Kollywood] is going to go crazy. It’s the release of “Sivaji” movie. My cousin has already booked 50 tickets for our family and his friends. [Jumps up & down] I simply can’t wait for the film. I’ve been waiting for it for the past one year. One can always expect something good from the Director Shankar and boy…do I have to talk about A R Rahman here? The 1st video song posted above is an epitome of how crazy ARR’s music can go. So far, those are the 2 songs posted above from the film “Sivaji” are my fav.

The 1st song up; “Oru Koodai Sunlight, Ooru Koodai Moonlight” is simply the best R&B by ARR ever, however, I can’t imagine Rajinikanth dancing for that song…give it to the “Black Eyed Peas“,”Pussycat Dolls” or simply the “Give it to me” gang[Nelly, Timbaland & Justin]. ARR is always too good in his melodies and the 2nd song posted above  is another great example of ARR’s sensational melodies. Check it out…

On the other hand…Mika’s “Grace Kelly” & Katherine McPhee’s “Over it” are now stuck in my head…

Never & Ever

I am “never & ever” going to tie a saree at least for the next 5 years. Many have given me good comments & compliments that I look the best in a saree. However, it’s the most uncomfortable outfit to be in.

Here’s something which happened last Friday…

I design my own sarees. So, about 6 months ago, I designed and made a saree in green & blue with loads of black and gold sequins, beads & other traditional designs. [My camera is not working, so I couldn’t grab a picture.]

Last Friday, there was a dinner party at the new Banana Leaf. It’s been months since I wore a saree. Thus, I felt like wearing the saree I made for the dinner party. The blouse of the saree was also made about 6 months ago. I have lost a few kilograms of weight since then. So, the blouse didn’t fit me. But, after some stiching help from my mum, the blouse was perfect. Then, the problem was with the petticoat. I have never worn a petticoat under any of the sarees I’ve worn thus far. Since the saree was tooooo transparent, I had no choice but to wear one of my elder sister’s petticoat under the saree. Boy…the petticoat didn’t fit me. After using a bunch of safety pins and a bit of hand stiching, the petticoat stood around my waist.

Then came the worst part…after tying the saree, I went to look at myself in front of the mirror. GgGgrrR. I looked like a 12 year old who desperately wanted to wear a saree. My waist was too small.

My mum wasted 2 hours to tie the saree for me, so I didn’t want to jump into my salwar kameez, and went to the dinner in the saree. Only my mum, the twins and I went for the dinner party. So, I ended up driving my father’s car. When I got out of the car, my saree came off completely. My mum had to waste another 30 minutes at the car park to tie the saree for me again. Usually when I go to any Indian functions, I’ll always be running here and there, but on Fiday, I sticked myself with the chair, being afraid that the saree might fall off again.

Only when I returned home, was I relieved to be in my shirt & shorts again. So, I’ve made up my mind, to not tie a saree for the next 5 years or until I become taller & bigger. [which is never going to happen]

I don’t think I would even want to tie a saree for my wedding. Luckily, in my tradition, the bride wears lengha for her wedding ceremony. Thank God.
