Whew!!!! Without 2 days of sleep, I’ve finally done 1/2 of my graphic design project…..[*jumps up & down the couch with a backache*] LOL.
I intially wanted to do this project themed “Wedding in Thailand”, but it was darn difficult. So, a little change to the theme and now it’s “Honeymoon in Thailand”. LOL. How crazy, but it has turned out pretty well so far.

The couple praying in a Thai temple

Watching the traditional Thai dance

The famous elephant riding in Thailand
Wow…so colourful….hehehe. Will be back with the final production!
P.S: I think I’m going to stop using Imageshack. It’s a nuisance now.

Oh boy…do I love Indian advertisements or what! LOL!
We always complain for everything. We complain as though lauguage was created to “complain”. LOL. And so I always compain when it comes to school projects. They are like ever-ending. Haizzz.
However, the fruit of success is always the best gift. I just began with Graphic Design project. I’ve to do a storyboard [comic strip style] promoting a country’s tourism. There were very few options. And I chose Thailand. At 1st, working with Thailand seemed fun due to their vibrant culture. I almost forgot about my graphic illustrations. Take the Thai traditional dancers for an example; you have to illustrate each and every detail as possible to create “the look”. You go wrong anywhere, and that’s it.
The script is ready.
It’s Thailand, so I had to obviously create e Thai traditional dancers. I don’t have a choice. Beginning was hell. And now, YEAH! It’s done.

~Took one whole day [w/o sleep] to do that~
This is only 1/8 of a frame. I have 6 frames to complete.
And now back to my illustration of the Buddha statue….

And now, it’s down with only Graphic Design project and my exams. I love exams. Simply because of one reason. There’s holiday to look forward to after exams. Hehehe.
It’s my parents birthday today. Whooooh! People find it wierd when I say, “Parents birthday”, because they think I’m referring to their wedding anniversary. Which is not. Both my parents were born in the same day, month and even the same year. Cool ah.
And so….Happy 47th birthday wishes to my ever gorgeous Mummy & handsome Daddy. *hugzzz*
Next comes the Twins’ birthday and parents wedding anniversary which coincidentally falls on the same day. March 10. As usual, a double-double celebration.

I didn’t become an MIA. I was just way too busy with school projects that blogging was the last thing to even think about. There’s a lot to sum up. I’ll start fom the most recent.
I bumped into Shobi today! Whew! We guys are just literally 5 blocks away & a minute walk away from each other’s house, but never once have we accidently bumped into one another. And it happened today. Seems like she’s busy shopping!! Hehehe.
I finally secured my wireless broadband. Which I had not done in the past 3 years! Whew! [*Jumps up & down frantically*] That was yesterday. My neighbours have been stealing my wireless. Since they were using my wireless, I couldn’t use my own wireless. It’ll always state that my wireless connection has reached limited connectivity. Haiz. Now that shall never happen. And I guess I wouldn’t be annoying anymore to you guys by popping in and out from MSN. LOL.
School Projects seem to be ever ending. Really. When one is done, there comes another after another. *Sigh*.
Visual Basic [alarm clock] – checked

I still have a comon test paper coming up on Thursday and 3 exams on mid Feb. I need a breather.
CCT is worrying me much. This is a project based module and my entire grade depends solely on my project. I still have 30% more work to do for my report before my submission on Wednesday.
School has never been this stressful. Seriously!
Other than that, I finally cut my hair fringe. My front head seemed be kinda balding because of my frequent side parting. And I guess this new look will prevent me from furthur balding. Errrrrrr!
I’ve been really busy with school that I’ve not had any time for fun. I’m really looking forward to my holidays.
That’s it for this month. I’ll leave with some pictures for an eyewash. :p

On Sidhu’s POP day.

The twins & Nisha’s scholarship ceremony

The circuit board which finally blinks after a month’s sweat! I have a video of it to show that it BLINKS, but I’m too lazy to upload it. :p

They are always there to pull me out from the world of “stress”

LOL. Showing off my fringe.

The mp4 watch which we’ve been desiging.

And the pretty mp3 necklace.

Daddy’s interview for The New Paper was published today. Nothing big. It’s just about the upgrading of Tekka Market. I guess the flash by the camera was a lil too bright for him and his eyes appear closed in the picture. And he’s smiling, hence it looks ike as though he’s crying. LOL. So, people reading the article might be actually thinking that he’s going to miss his the place.
Graphic Design project is coming up. Errrrrr. I’m now even having nightmares in the day thinking about my projects. Personal Development’s report must be submitted on Monday. And I’m no where near start. It’s really hard giving equal importance to all the projects. Just think about doing 4 year end proects at the same time. And they carry a lot of weightage to my grades.
Don’t be surprised to see me running like a mad woman along the road one day. I just have to get over with the next 4 weeks. And then, I shall be the queen for myself! Whew!
It’s about time for me to hit the hay now. Good nitez!
Firstly, there’s a little wish for all my folks and friends this new year.
“May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your sadness. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words …………
May 2008 be the best year of your life!!!”
And I guess this video clip will inspire you’ll with something this year.No doubt Indians are the most creative when it comes to creating advertisements. I hope you feel just as inspired and forced to get off your feet and make a difference when you see the following advertisement. The 3 minutes you spend watching it are definitely worth it.
We take this for granted day after day and I will let the clip speak for itself especially the last part.
Happy New Year
Everybody have been asking me how well/bad my 2007 was. To sum it up….I loved and hated it equally. I don’t want to precisely mention all the high and low notes. Anyway, there are many memoirs of 2007 which I wouldn’t want to bring into the new year.
As 2007 comes to an end, I’m doing what I do every year. Taking an inventory of my failures and successes over that past year. I generally spend the majority of my time reflecting on my failures, thinking about how I didn’t quite measure up to my very high expectations, and making plans so it won’t happen again the next year.
2007 was a difficult year. I met the wrong Mr. Right (because I thought he was. Which ended up “NOT”); Fortunately, the right ‘Mr.Right’ is here with me. But instead of focusing on the negative, this year I’m choosing to focus on the positive.
In pondering my life the past week or so, I’ve realized what a terribly negative person I can be at times. I’m not sure why tearing down others and even myself seems so much easier than offering an encouragement or a smile. I’ve been way too sensitive to many. Maybe I feel like I need to level the playing field. Anyway, I’m trying to be more aware of my negativity and I’m allowing God to change my heart. Yeah, heart change is usually painful…very painful.
If I chose one word to characterize 2007, it would be “victory”. Yes, victory! I’ve met the best people in my life this year. And I’ve got 4 new nick names this year,: ‘Strawberry’, ‘ChipsMore’, ‘Trash’, ‘Babli’ & ‘Jaan’. [So, that's 5 now. LOL.]
Each day presents its own battle, but I am fighting and I am making progress.
This year I have been able to reclaim parts of my personality and areas of my life overtaken by anxiety, despair, hopelessness, and depression. And I continue to learn.
And Benezir Bhutto has made a full stop with her blood to end 2007. What I wish for the world in 2008 is:, May terrorism have an ending.
It is a horrible thing that Benazir Bhutto had to die. I personally thought she was an opportunist, a person of extreme danger to fragile stability in Pakistan. However, even if I am correct, she did not deserve to be “shot like a dog”. I am sure another example of Islamist misogyny will be quietly accepted without protest. Islamists, who killed her, will not be blamed – Bush and Musharraf will be.
Benazir Bhutto did not return top Pakistan for Pakistan’s sake. She returned there for her own greed for power. Could she not see that Musharraf was the only reason that fragile Pakistan stayed afloat, whole, and not Islamist throughout War On Islamo-Fascism? Of course she did. She knew it well. She could not care less.
It seems very ironic to me, that she died from the very thing that Musharraf tried to protect her from (remember, when she was put on house arrest?) - Bloody assassins
